Burner type: there are many types of engravers to various applications. Your choice should be based on the amount of data that you store and the speed with which you want to retrieve it.
CD Duplicator
CD Duplicators read a CD then burn its contents on a second CD directly.
CD - RW
CD - RW are writeable CDs on which it is also possible to erase data and then in re-engraving.
DVD Duplicator
DVD Duplicators read a DVD and then burn its contents on a second DVD directly.
DVD + R
The DVD + R are conventional recordable DVD with the possibility of direct (or random) access. Direct or random access allows the reader to find data anywhere on a disk without having to start the search from the beginning.
DVD + R Double layer
DVD to a face to save two layers of data, with a capacity that can go up to 8.5 GB and with possibility of random access.
DVD + RW
DVD + RW are for conventional rewritable DVD with possibility of random access.
DVD-R
The DVD-R are writable DVDs without random access.
DVD-RAM
Rewritable DVD at both sides with possibility of random access.
DVD - RW
Similar to the DVD + RW, but without actual random access capabilities.
DVD ±R
Burner able to burn DVD-R and DVD + R.
DVD ±RW
Burners capable of engraving and re-engraving on DVD - RW on DVD + RW.
DVD ±RW Double layer
Burners capable of engraving and re-engraving on DVD - RW DL (dual layer) as on DVD + RW DL.DVD - RW

Refers to (integrated) installed drives in desktop computers.
External
Refers to the readers who are not integrated into a computer, and that one branchto the computer via a connection cable.

Refers to the drives used in laptop computers.

So-called engravers "owners" have a far superior to other production capacity and are generally used to perform a large number of copies.External
